Webinar Description:

Flexibility can be an asset, but also a burden.

Not all people with hypermobility are prone to injury, but soft-tissue laxity needs to be considered when preventing & treating injuries.

Without careful screening of our patients, soft-tissue treatments & joint mobilising may do more harm than good.

This presentation will:

  • Highlight the screening tests for generalised joint hypermobility,
  • Discuss the injury risk of hypermobility,
  • Offer ideas on prevention & considerations when we are applying our treatments.
  • Discuss potential barriers that prevent patient buy-in to exercise programs and
  • Discuss current evidence that supports high intensity training to support joint health.
