Webinar Description:

The Olympics will be behind us as we conduct our next Webinar & we should not only be interested in the athletes performances but also the ‘technology’ available to them.

Running shoe technology had minimal changes since the 1970’s.

This was until Nike announced an attempt on a sub 2hr marathon in 2015.

With a successful attempt in 2019 Nike ramped up the shoe wars

Now all shoe companies have their own variant of a supershoe.

This is not a level playing field. This Shoe War had the potential to Break the Sport of Running

Join Jimmy as he will discuss the good, the bad & the ugly of this new technology & how it may help some athletes & why some are non responders.

What you will learn:

  • The Ins & Outs of Running Shoes: Comparing Training, Racing, Sprinting vs Long Distance Shoes
  • What qualifies as a Supershoe: Let's look "Under the Hood"
  • The difference between old & new (Super) shoes
  • Whether all athletes are responders
  • Why some athletes may respond positively
  • What happens biomechanically in the Supershoe
  • Are there good footware choices that the average runner can make to keep them running longer
