We will cover how to pick conditions involving the peritendon - & why it matters, as well as differentiating superficial bursae from insertional Achilles.  

Key clinical tips around diagnosis & why it matters for education & early decision making will be included.

Ebonie will share plenty of her clinical pearls that you will find applicable to your patients with posterior ankle pain.

Introducing Dr Ebonie Rio

Ebonie is a Sports Physiotherapist at the Victorian Institute of Sport, The Australian Ballet, & she consults to multiple AFL, Rugby, elite Soccer & Basketball clubs.  

Her clinical career has included the Australian Institute of Sport, The Australian Open, Australian Ballet School, Melbourne Heart football club, Commonwealth Games 2006, 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, 2010 Singapore Youth Olympics, 2012 London Paralympics.   

Ebonie co-chairs both the Sports Medicine Australia conference & the International Scientific Tendon Symposium.   

She is the Senior Research Fellow at The Australian Ballet & she has completed her Phd in Tendon Pain
